Many people in india might be wondering why everyone is becoming a twitter addict these days.Almost half of the people who join twitter doesnt know whats the big deal with it.So i thought i would post something on this.It can be used as a self-promotion tool, to promote your content,  products and services.This is what many Bloggers and geeks generally use it for.But it turned out to be an amazing communication weapon of the 21st century from a normal user to a most famous celebrity

To begin with, it’s a networking tool designed to instantly answer the  timeless question, “What are you doing ?”  and the replies you post are called tweets.A tweet can reach potentially thousands of pre­approved “friends” at once..Wow…Cool right…Twitter now has some 15 million users who spend an average of half an hour a day posting a total of about 2.5 million tweets..

Tweeters describe what they eat,express joy when their favourite team wins,funny things,and most importantly to save lives, mobilize masses, and scoop the news media…After actress Demi Moore received a Twitter message from a woman threatening to kill herself, she used Twitter to rally her fans to the woman’s cause. The woman was reportedly so touched by the outpouring that she changed her mind.

Cool right..Although It takes a certain talent to compress any thought coherently into that limited space of 140 characters,language purists are appalled.You know you can always learn from your mistakes.

And the next best part is you can tweet from anywhere.maybe a computer,notebook,mobile phone(UK)/cellular phone(US) or any hand held device for that matter.I would like to mention some of my favourite twitter Clients.
